The Murat Sertel Center for Advanced Economic Studies was established in Fall 2009, in honor of the late Professor Murat R. Sertel, an internationally reputed Economic Theorist who, beyond initiating a worldwide known Turkish tradition in mathematical social sciences, was a pionnering scientist in the growing field of Economic Design.
The Center aims to constitute a gathering point for scientists willing to promote research in Economic Design as well as academic values that Murat Sertel defended all his life long.
Since its creation, the Center has launched a quite large number of activities , including an annual scientific workshop where its members, as well as students and guests, share and discuss some of their current work. The first two workshops in 2010 and 2011 were held at Istanbul Bilgi University which is the hosting institution of the Center. This year, the Murat Sertel workshop is organized in Paris, at Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, whose financial support is gratefully acknowledged. The center is also much grateful to LIRSA for its great support. The workshop program is provided below. Whoever is interested is most welcome to attend one, several or all sessions.

For any practical question regarding the workshop, please contact Prof. Gilbert Laffond, who is an associate member of the Center, and kindly accepted to be in charge of the local organization.
