Mooc: Strategic Issues: understanding and deciding in a changing world
January 5, 2022February 28, 2022
More than thirty personalities, researchers, teachers, practitioners of strategic questions, will guide you in your reflection by drawing on concrete and emblematic cases drawn from the various fields of strategic questions: fundamentals of strategic reflection, politico-military questions, scene international strategy, contemporary threats… This choice of pedagogy by example makes it possible to put into perspective the theoretical notions traditionally taught.
By the end of this course, you will have a better overall understanding of issues vital to our societies. You will also be able to better distinguish what concerns long time and what concerns short time, to sort between essential and secondary, especially in the considerable mass of information that we all receive on a daily basis, to prioritize the interests of the various actors involved. You will be able to develop your own reading and analysis grids, take the necessary perspective on a situation and put it into perspective to make the best decisions.
Format
The MOOC is organized in 6 modules over 6 weeks. A general introduction presents the purpose, expectations and overall organization. Each of the 6 modules is preceded by a short introduction presenting the program and the expectations for the week in question. The modules are divided into several lesson sequences (these sequences can include one or more videos of four to ten minutes).
In addition, a summary interview with a referent in the area covered constitutes the concluding course of the module (these summary interviews can include one or more videos of four to ten minutes).
For each of the course sequences and for each of the summary interviews, discussions are open on the forum.
NB: all the videos are subtitled in French or in English
